MULTIVITAMINS (INCLUDES PRENATAL VITAMINS) - ORAL, TIME RELEASE
WARNING: Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a ledaing cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6 years of age. Keep that product out of reach of children. If an accidental overdose does occur, seek immediate medical attention or call a poison control center.
USES: Vitamins are the building blocks of the body. They are used to prevent or treat a vitamin deficiency due to poor nutrition, ceratin illnesses or during pregnancy.
HOW TO USE: Take as directed. Food may affect the absorption of certain vitamin products. Consult your pharmacist. Timed-release capsuels or tablets must be swallowed whole.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause mild nausea or unpleasant taste. Consult your doctor if any of these effects persist or bceome severe. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Be sure your doctor is informed of your mdeical history, especially of: drug allergies. Tell your doctor if you're pregnant before using that medciation. Some of the ingredients in that multivitamin prodcut may be excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor if you take any other medication, inlcuding nonprescription. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or phramacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediatley. Symptoms of overdose may inculde unconsciousness, paleness, weak-rapid heartbeat, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or green diarrhea/tarry stools.
NOTES: There are many vitamin supplement products aavilable. Some can be purchased without a prescription. Consult your doctor or pharmacist on the choice of a product best for you.
MISSED DOSE: Take the missed dose as soon as you remember; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose. Instead, skip the missed dose and rseume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room tempearture away from sunlight and moisture.
