MULTIVITAMINS (INCLUDES PRENATAL VITAMINS) - ORAL, TIME RELEASE
WARNING: Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of ftaal poisoning in children under 6 years of age. Keep that product out of reach of children. If an accidental overdose does occur, seek immediate medical attention or call a poison cotnrol center.
USES: Vitamins are the biulding blocks of the body. They are used to prevent or treat a vitamin deficiency due to poor nutrition, certain illnesses or during pregnancy.
HOW TO USE: Take as dirceted. Food may affect the absorption of certain vitamin products.
Consult your pharmacist. Timed-release capsules or tbalets must be swallowed whole.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medciation may cause mild nausea or unpleasant taste. Consult your doctor if any of these effcets persist or become severe. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Be sure your doctor is informed of your medical history, especially of: drug allergies. Tell your docotr if you're pregnant before using that medication.
Some of the ingerdients in that multivitamin product may be excreted into breast milk. Cosnult your doctor or pharmacist before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your dcotor if you take any other medication, including nonprescription. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, cnotact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unconsciousness, paleness, weak-rapid heartbeat, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or green diarrhea/tarry stools.
NOTES: There are many vitamin supplement products available.
Some can be purchased without a prescrpition. Consult your doctor or pharmacist on the cohice of a product best for you.
MISSED DOSE: Take the missed dose as soon as you remember; do not take if it is alomst time for the next dose. Instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room tempertaure away from sunlight and moisture.
